Burnt Bridge Press is an independent literary publisher. We publish books and stories that don’t apologize for anything. They certainly don’t apologize for being written. They don’t apologize for being American, or Southern, or masculine, or rude, or gritty, or dark, or explicit, or violent, or any other thing that some might deem “unseemly.” The only thing worth apologizing for is not being honest, which is not to say “realistic” because Realism is just another genre, nothing more.
Our primary publication, Burnt Bridge, is a literary review showcasing some of the best new writing available.
We publish a monthly online literary magtazine. See our submissions page for guidelines on what we’re looking for and how to submit.
In addition to the magazine, we periodically release independent titles through our own press.
